This 11 1/2 × 13 1/2 inch painting is created with acrylic paint, spray paint, and Posca pens on a recycled wood block. Riffing on a map’s legend and the stories legends tell, it suggests someone who was always larger than they seemed—or who quietly hid their full self in plain sight. Using my personal profiled figure iconography, hundreds of dots and dashes weave a layered, textured landscape that carries both presence and subtlety. The piece comes with a hand-printed and signed Certificate of Authenticity.
