This 18 × 24 inch painting features my stylized figure iconography built through a process of repeated layering using painter’s tape and multiple renderings of the same figure. Striations emerge as each version is taped, painted over, and revealed again—creating a visual rhythm of accumulation and return. Referencing the bio-stratigraphy of rock formations, the piece reflects on how we continually become ourselves on top of our former selves, with each layer adding depth and history. Made with paint and Posca pens, the work comes with a hand-printed and signed Certificate of Authenticity.
