These one of one unique prints are made using acrylic paint swipes and archival stamp ink with rubber stamps hand carved as gifts for musical artists. Often commissioned through music festivals like Will Hoge’s Eastside Ramble or Cayamo each stamp has some reference to the visual vocabulary an artist uses in their creative life, like the Vox amp that gave life to the Lewis Stubb’s Junior stamp that I found scrolling through his website. With the Burney Sisters I wanted it to feel like a snippet of a graphic novel about southern gothic sisters.
